Brock Morris never let Austin get something going. The Springfield left-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Stars to a 3-0 win. Morris, the winner, moves to 11-6. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. José Valdéz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 27 save opportunities.

One of the key players for the Stars was catcher Ryan Drake, who drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning. For the game, Drake was 2-4 with a double.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Drake.
