The Austin River Sharks topped the St. Louis Browns, 5-3, in Continental League action at Gateway Stadium. The player of the game was Austin pitcher Troy Lynn. Josh Graham was called on to finish, recording his 11th save. Even with the win, the River Sharks have a dismal 33-73 record.

Austin took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Carlos Guzmán stroked a 2-run single to make it 5-3, River Sharks.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Lynn told the Austin Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
