Browns Turn Back Houston, 10-8
|
Houston first baseman José Rodríguez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Rodríguez hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3, even as St. Louis beat the Marshals, 10-8. Rodríguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Browns bumped their record to 59-44 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for St. Louis, had it not been for Anthony Rucker, the 26-year old second baseman . Rucker contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth inning to put St. Louis up, 4-2.
"The more wins we pile up," said Rucker, "the more I like our chances."
