Almost There: Plymouth On Cusp of League Championship Triumph After 6-1 Win
|
The Plymouth Rocks moved to within one game of the BSA Championship today, downing the New Orleans Looters on the road at The Bayou at Heineken Field by a score of 6-1. Rocks right-hander José Morán was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Rocks a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship.
Andrés Lara didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Plymouth on top, 2-0.
"I felt good up there," said Lara. "I saw the ball well."
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th, 2027 at The Bayou at Heineken Field. The scheduled starters for the game are José Morán for the Rocks and Edward Baker for the Looters.
