Serna Hits 2 home runs in D-Bags Win
|
The game between Jersey Shore and Plymouth is in the books, despite a little rain.
Miguel Serna helped his team muscle past the Plymouth Rocks, 5-2. In the game, the Jersey Shore third baseman was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bob Moss earned the win for Jersey Shore. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0.
Serna contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Jersey Shore in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Serna took a curveball from Walt Burton and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the D-Bags to leap in front, 3-2.
"If it's down the middle," said Serna, "you might as well hit it."
With the loss, Plymouth falls to 6-3.
