Rockets Fall Short at New Orleans
|
The Nassau Rockets got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Valentín, but the New Orleans Looters still won the game, 3-2. Valentín was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The Rockets fall to 4-6 and continue their uneasy start to the 2027 season.
Late in the game, first baseman Oliver Deleón had a big at-bat for New Orleans. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Ju-choer Yi. The play gave the Looters a 3-2 lead.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Deleón.
