New York Loses, 16-9, Despite Pérez Performance
New York center fielder Marcos Pérez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Knights dropped a 16-9 decision to Niagara Falls at Roy Hobbs Memorial Ballpark. Pérez was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. Niagara Falls starter George Nelson was credited with the win after throwing 96 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Frenzy, now 3-6, have not found much traction so far in 2027.

Clyde Yarbrough didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Niagara Falls on top, 2-0.

"It's a long season," said Yarbrough. "We'll keep working to improve."
