Multi-HR Day for Waters as Rocks Overpower Rockets, 5-4
|
The Plymouth Rocks topped the Nassau Rockets by the score of 5-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Barrett Waters. Waters went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Rocks on the day. Bartolo García got the save, his 30th in 32 chances. The Rocks improved to a lofty 58-22.
One important at-bat for Plymouth came with two out in the top of the fourth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Waters hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Rocks win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Nassau manager Juan López. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
