Stars Lose to Boccabellas in Walk Off
|
Pocatello pitcher Kevin Bush did his part in helping his team beat the Springfield Stars, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Pocatello reliever Adrián Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Luis Cortéz absorbed the loss. With the win over Springfield, the Boccabellas improved to 48-32.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Pocatello right fielder Juan Cortés hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Springfield manager Micah Grindley.
