5 Hits for Rebels Wilson
|
The Boston Rebels stopped the Niagara Falls Frenzy by a score of 15-6 at Fenway Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Bill Wilson. The 32-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Wilson said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Wilson did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Frenzy.
"Not much that I can say," offered Niagara Falls manager John Leach. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Bill Wilson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season Wilson has hit at a .317 clip and produced 38 runs batted in, 3 home runs and 65 runs.
