Tropics Win in Glorious Fashion
The Maui Tropics beat the Los Cabos Cartel, 6-5, at Rainbow Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Anacleto Morillo, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Los Cabos's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 5-5, pinch hitter José Herrera won it for Maui. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Herrera hit a 0-2 curveball from António Martínez for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 6-5 win.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Herrera, "but we really needed that win."
