The Madison Bombers took Pocatello pitcher Rod Adams's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Red Box Field. The final score had Madison getting past the Boccabellas, 3-2. Adams went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. Alonso Gallardo closed the door for Madison, picking up his 13th save of the year. Even with the win, the Bombers have a dismal 20-52 record.
Madison shortstop Jorge Flores helped the Bombers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Flores hit a run-scoring single off Pocatello pitcher Rod Adams.
"I know we have our doubters," said Pocatello manager Danny Lombardi. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
