Browns Fall Short, 2-1, at Madison
|
The Madison Bombers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Clint John, who stifled the St. Louis offense en route to a 2-1 Bombers win at Red Box Field. Madison is now 19-48, St. Louis 38-30.
John Denton brought the hometown crowd to its feet with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when the 24-year old right fielder belted a 2-run home run. With the round-tripper, the Bombers took the lead, 2-0.
"We did just enough to win," John said.
