McConnell Belts Bunch of Base Hits Thursday, September 17th, 2026 Palmyra left fielder Dennis McConnell really lit up the Amity Gardens Westerners with a 6-hit barrage today at Ballpark of Amity Gardens -- a performance that sparked the Overlords to a 41-1 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Dennis McConnell hit a solo-shot off Jorge Román in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
