Brown Batters Indian Hills Big Time Saturday, August 1st, 2026 5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book. The latest honoree is Walt Brown of the Long Beach KO. Today he beat up their pitching to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it was the Indian Hills Voodoo that salvaged a 12-9 victory at Voodoo Ballpark. "Brown was a tough out today," the Indian Hills manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure. I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Speaking to the BNN writers, Brown added, "It was a real good day for me individually, but not a good one for the team. No loss is a good one." Walt Brown hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Brown on the season is hitting .261 with no home runs. His stats include 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |
