Turberville Named HSSL Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Monday, June 16th, 2025 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2025 has been presented and the High School Stars League winner is Paul Turberville of Spanish Fork HS. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Turberville. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Spanish Fork HS star told reporters. Turberville excelled with an impressive 3-0 record in 10 starts. In 54 innings he yielded 24 hits and 15 walks, while striking out 93 and compiling a fine 0.33 ERA. Matt Barlow of the Shelby HS Rockets finished second in voting, while Denny Koch of the Dublin Jerome HS Celtics finished third. |
