5-Hit Barrage by Burks Thursday, May 7th, 2026 It was high-5 day at Red Wings Ballpark, at least for Bobby Burks of the Fresno HS Red Wings. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Fort Worth HS Turkeys. Burks smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 17-12 win. His manager said, "Bobby was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Bobby Burks singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. On the year Burks is hitting .246 with 31 hits, 12 home runs, 34 RBIs, .364 OBP and has scored 27 runs. |
