Big Day with Bat: Morris 5-for-5 Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 Frank Morris exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Bainton Field. The Rutgers left fielder had a field day in the 17-6 triumph over the Virginia Tech Hokies, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Morris must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Frank Morris singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. Morris is currently batting .316 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 19 at-bats. |
