5-Hit Blitz by Carter Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 It was high-5 day at Tointon Family Stadium, at least for Robert Carter of the Northwestern Wildcats. He got a lot of high-5's for his outstanding hitting against the Kansas State Wildcats, but he and his teammates couldn't pull out a win. Carter smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on a his record-setting day, but Northwestern still dropped the game 5-4. His manager said, "Robert was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him. Too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion and get the victory." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN writers, "Carter bushwhacked my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, we won the ballgame." Robert Carter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Currently Carter is batting .270 with 4 home runs, 24 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
