Wildcats Mendoza Suffers Injury Monday, May 5th, 2025 Disappointing news today for Northwestern Wildcats fans. Mario Mendoza was hurt throwing a pitch in their game against the Kansas Jayhawks and has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return but said it was likely the injury will keep the reliever out at least 13 months. This year his stats show Mendoza has 1 save in 14 relief appearances with a 2-0 record and 2.59 ERA. |
