Wes Thompson to Miss 9-10 Months Friday, April 25th, 2025 Wes Thompson at first refused to leave today's UCLA-Penn State game after he suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Penn State right fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Thompson out of action for 9-10 months. This year Thompson is batting .280 with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
