Red-Hot King Scorches Wildcats Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 It was high-5 day at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium, at least for Garrett King of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Arizona Wildcats. King smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 19-1 win. His manager said, "Garrett was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Garrett King hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off David Brown in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. King on the season is hitting .339 with 2 home runs. His stats include 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
