Colorado's Mendoza Injured, Out of Lineup Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 Watching Jorge Mendoza getting helped off the field today at Buffaloes Ballpark, fans of the Colorado Buffaloes feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 15 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Mendoza suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Seminoles. This season Mendoza has made 7 relief appearances with no saves. His won-lost record is 1-0 with a 5.25 ERA. |
