5-for-5 Day for Moore Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Arnold Moore. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Moore went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Georgetown pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Shirley Povich Field, he had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. And the Kentucky Wildcats had a 12-1 victory over the Hoyas. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Arnold Moore hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Moore is currently batting .324 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. In 48 games he has reached base at a .418 rate and scored 36 runs to date. |
