Cobb Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Tuesday, April 21st, 2026 It was a parade of hits for Ralph Cobb of the Minnesota Golden Gophers... one right after another... a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Kentucky Wildcats for 5 hits in his 5 at-bats and propelled the Golden Gophers to a 22-14 victory. "Cobb was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Wildcats manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Ralph Cobb singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off William Lockhard in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
