Big Day for Keesee: Swats 5 Hits Monday, April 20th, 2026 History in the making. That's what the fans at Russ Chandler Stadium got to see today, when Rutgers outplayed the Yellow Jackets 13-4. Ed Keesee of the Scarlet Knights came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Georgia Tech. In the postgame press conference the Georgia Tech skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Ed Keesee singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Víctor Ramírez in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Posting a .372 batting average to date, Keesee has 5 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
