He may have less experience than some veteran members of the Pioneer League, but that didn't slow Ron Edwards down at alll in 2026.

At the age of 24, the Jasper first baseman has been named the winner of the Pioneer League Outstanding Hitter Award.

He had a .333 batting average and a .459 on-base percentage this year. In 160 games he piled up 195 hits, 44 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 98 RBIs and 113 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

Félix Gonzáles of the Eau Claire Esquires finished second in voting, while David Hernández of the Jasper Cougars finished third.
