September's Premier Pitcher Announced By PIO Thursday, October 1st, 2026 Jon Vaughn took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Pioneer League Pitcher of the Month award for September. The 23-year-old Cougars starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 7-0 won-lost record in 8 starts. This month he fanned 50 batters in 47.1 innings and compiled a 2.09 ERA. To this point in the season Vaughn has 17 wins and 7 losses and a 3.25 ERA. |
