Joe Lewis out of Lineup 4-5 Months Saturday, August 1st, 2026 The Saskatoon Smokin' Guns learned that Joe Lewis is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself colliding with a player at a base in today's game against the Colorado Commanders. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn back muscle. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Saskatoon manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Joe is back in action." This year Lewis has no home runs and a .214 batting average. |
