Becerra Goes 5-for-7 Against Kenosha
Tuesday, July 14th, 2026
If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Juan Becerra showed how it's done as he went 5 for 7 against the Kenosha Kingfish and helped the Beaverton Bronze Souls beat them 14-3. The manager for the Kingfish told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Becerra keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Juan Becerra singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
Becerra is batting at a .232 pace this season, picking up 63 hits in 272 at-bats with 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
