Thursday, October 22nd, 2026
The future looks extremely bright for Howard Evans. At the age of 21, many players are still trying to find their way in Midwest League.

Evans has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Midwest League Outstanding Hitter Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .295 this year, that's for sure," the third baseman said.

The Barry's Bay Orioles star also put up a .420 on-base percentage this year, with 145 hits, 36 doubles, no triples, 17 home runs, 98 RBIs and 98 runs scored.

Edward Rose of the Lee's Summit Tigers finished second in voting, while Víctor Peña of the Plumstead Eagles finished third.
