MSL Trophy Goes to Salazar of Plumstead

Pitchers who faced the Plumstead Eagles last week were happy to see António Salazar in the rear view mirror. The 22-year-old center fielder was dubbed the Midwest League Player of the Week for a 5-game tear that saw him hit at a .600 clip.
For the week he also chalked up 12 hits in 20 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
This year Salazar is hitting .298, produced 71 RBIs and 8 home runs, scored 75 times and gotten on base at a .417 rate.
