Sousa Goes on Rampage Against Rangers
Sunday, August 23rd, 2026
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Manhatten right fielder José Sousa said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Wisconsin Rapids Rangers at Mead Field. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Meatheads had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 11-5. José Sousa singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Juan Contreras in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
Sousa is currently hitting at a .266 pace with 12 home runs, 64 RBIs and has scored 63 times.
