SNL Presents Batter of Month Trophy to Merritt Tuesday, September 1st, 2026 When Scott Merritt stepped up to the plate in August, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Southern League Batter of the Month award. The young Memphis center fielder posted a .344 batting average with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 25 runs. Merritt also worked pitchers for 9 walks to post a .387 on-base percentage. Thus far this year Merritt is hitting .290 with 14 home runs, 73 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |
