Pérez Takes Home NWL Outstanding Pitcher Award Monday, October 19th, 2026 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2026 has been presented and the Northwest League winner is José Pérez of Red Deer. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Pérez. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Wranglers star told reporters. Pérez excelled with an impressive 20-5 record in 33 starts. In 196.2 innings he yielded 153 hits and 71 walks, while striking out 221 and compiling a fine 2.84 ERA. Máximo Marín of the Moose Jaw Ghostbusters finished second in voting, while Thatcher Smith of the Menlo Maniacs finished third. |
