5-Hit Barrage by Nelson Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 Today at The Rehab Center Greg Nelson put on a hitting clinic as the Red Deer left fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Culver City pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But the Extras didn't really seem to care, they won the game 8-7. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Greg Nelson doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season Nelson has hit at a .343 clip and produced 93 runs batted in, 20 home runs and 116 runs. |
