Rivera Strokes 5 Hits Friday, August 14th, 2026 The Red Bulls whipped the Wranglers 16-7 at Wrangler Field and Paco Rivera had a big hand in the win. The Red Bulls first baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Rivera and a tough day for Red Deer. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Rivera delivered today -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Paco Rivera hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. This year Rivera is batting .316 with 144 hits, 16 home runs, 84 RBIs, 75 walks, .416 OBP and has scored 92 runs. |
