At Lumberjack Park Francisco Rodríguez showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Riverside Red Bulls. However this great day with the bat didn't pay off in a victory. The La Crosse Loggers fell 11-6. The manager of the Red Bulls told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames. Luckily we came away with a win today. Rodríguez just didn't get enough help." If Rodríguez keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Francisco Rodríguez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Rodríguez is batting .345 with 4 home runs. |
