Great Stroke: Castillo Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 Francisco Castillo had an answer for everything the Redwood City Redwoods threw him today in the Santa Monica 17-5 triumph at Redwood Park. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Santa Monica center fielder went 5 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Castillo said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Francisco Castillo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. This season Castillo is batting .286 with 26 hits, 1 home run, 13 RBIs, 10 walks, .369 OBP and has scored 16 runs. He has played in 32 games. |
