Harvey Goes 5-for-5 Against Calgary Saturday, June 20th, 2026 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Leonard Harvey got one today. He scattered hits all over Burns Field to pace District 9 to a 8-6 victory over Calgary. The Calgary skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Harvey hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Leonard Harvey singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Esteban Alfonzo in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Looking at his stats this year, Harvey has compiled a .282 batting average, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 38 runs. He has played in 68 games and scored 44 runs. |
