Martínez Sensational, 6-for-6 Monday, June 1st, 2026 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Albuquerque shortstop Luis Martínez said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 6-for-6 day against the Redwood City Redwoods at Redwood Park. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Isotopes had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 16-7. Luis Martínez hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Júlio Castro in the 9th. On the year Martínez has hit .272 with 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 23 runs. |
