Monday, May 25th, 2026
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Enrique Nalasco after his 5-hit performance against the Missions. "No offense meant to San Jose, but it was like I was back in little league again. I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Missions Ballpark." The District 9 left fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 25-7 victory. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Enrique worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Nalasco said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Enrique Nalasco doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off José Reyes i n the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jorge Comacho in the 9th.
For the year Nalasco is hitting .429 with 2 home runs. His stats include 13 runs batted in and 9 runs scored.
