Villegas Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games

The Hammertime 32-year-old right fielder José Villegas has been on a tear for several weeks and his hitting streak is getting longer. The streak is now at 20 games after he went 1-for-5 as Houston got the best of Mile High 7-4 today at Mile High Field. José Villegas singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 9th.
In 114 games this season Villegas has compiled a .344 batting average with 149 hits and 5 home runs. He has also scored 72 times and knocked in 98 runs.
