Mexico City's Jiménez Injured, Out of Lineup Sunday, September 20th, 2026 Earlier today, Mexico City reliever José Jiménez had to leave the game against Lansing because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn back muscle and will miss 5 months of play. Jiménez was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. In no relief appearances this season, Jiménez has no saves. He has 9 wins and 9 losses, 5.53 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 154.2 innings. |
