5 Hits for Gold Souls Guerra Saturday, August 15th, 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Claudio Guerra -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Missions Ballpark and paced the Gold Souls to a 16-5 win over the San Jose Missions. After his dynamite batting performance the Gresham catcher told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Claudio Guerra walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Lee Donahue in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Guerra is currently hitting at a .309 pace with 24 home runs and 71 RBIs. |
