Morton 5-for-5 for Trout Slayers Monday, June 29th, 2026 Tuscaloosa catcher Ben Morton put on quite a show at Duck Pond with a big 5-hit day in the 9-1 victory over the Waba Ducks. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 5.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Ben Morton doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off François Boudreault in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season in 33 games Morton is batting .362 with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 18 times. |
