Ruíz Named ITL's #1 Hurler Friday, October 23rd, 2026 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2026 has been presented and the International League winner is Jorge Ruíz of Allentown. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Ruíz. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Hillbillies star told reporters. Ruíz excelled with an impressive 18-5 record in 29 starts. In 185.2 innings he yielded 182 hits and 61 walks, while striking out 184 and compiling a fine 3.30 ERA. Okura Oike of the Allentown Hillbillies finished second in voting, while Derek Simpson of the Havana Rollers finished third. |
