Costello Slaps 6 Hits Sunday, September 27th, 2026 All game long Blueville's Juan Costello was rattling the walls at Leadwood Grounds and banging out base hits against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 6-hit day and the 83's had a 40-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 25-year-old third baseman said, "Get 6 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Juan Costello singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th, walked in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. This season Costello has hit at a .345 clip with 123 RBIs, 16 home runs and 138 runs scored. |
