Grun 5-for-6 for Clams Sunday, September 13th, 2026 Next time the Timber Rattlers might think twice about pitching to Rob Grun. Today at Pratt & Whitney Field the Cape Cod left fielder really burned Wisconsin pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Clams 14-9 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Rob Grun singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Andy Parker in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. Grun is hitting .367 so far this season with 58 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 65 hits including 18 home runs, 24 walks and .438 OBP. |
