5-Hit Barrage by Encarnación Monday, July 27th, 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Miguel Encarnación. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Encarnación went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Kansas City pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at The Throne Room, he had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese had a 9-7 victory over the Kings. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Miguel Encarnación singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th. So far this year Encarnación has 3 home runs and a .264 batting average. |
